How do you ensure all your products are sustainable and ethically sourced?

We want to ensure you’ve always got peace of mind that your purchases are ethical and sustainable when shopping with Ethical State.

That’s why the very first thing we do before partnering with any seller is vet their business. This means we’ll review their manufacturing process, their values, their product ingredients/materials, their business transparency and more.

Not only that, we also ask our sellers to fill out a detailed questionnaire when first joining Ethical State. This helps us check that their values match ours, meaning that we can keep bringing you ethical and sustainable businesses that we love, and we know you will too!

We do the very best we can to ensure all our sellers uphold their agreement of being an ethical and eco-friendly business.

Why are my products delivered separately?

As we are an online marketplace, Ethical State do not store or manufacture products. Each seller is therefore responsible for delivering their product directly to you.

Please note: some products are handmade or made to order, which may effect the delivery time.

How do I return my order?

We offer a 14 days returns policy from when your product is delivered.

Where is my delivery?

Delivery times vary depending on the product type, size and seller.

Every seller has an estimated delivery date on each product page – we recommend giving your delivery a few more days to account for any backlog.

Please contact us immediately on info@ethicalstate.com if your order has not arrived 10 days after dispatch.

Do you ship internationally?

In some cases we can ship internationally. Contact us on hello@ethicalstate.com to see if your favourite seller can ship to your country!

Are my payment details secure?

Our payment process is completely secure and enables you to use any MasterCard, Visa or Paypal account to pay for your order.

Your payment details are not stored on our site and are data protected, making it easy to shop safely and worry-free.

My product is damaged, what do I do?

If your order is wrong or your product is damage, please contact hello@ethicalstate.com so that we resolve your issue promptly.

How is my product packaged?

Transparency is important, especially when it comes to packaging.

Every product sold on the site will have information on what is used to package and deliver your product(s) on the product page.

How long does the approval process take?

We’re sure you understand that we want to give our customers the peace of mind that every seller on Ethical State is ethical and eco-friendly.

To ensure a transparent and convenient solution to ethical shopping, we vet our sellers to check they meet our standards of sustainability and ethical operation.

Once your business has been successfully vetted by our team, you should be approved as a verified Ethical State seller within 48 hours of your original request.

When you vet my business, what are you looking for?

Ethical shopping is all about embracing brands that champion their distinctive values every step of the way.

With that in mind, we’ll look into many aspects of your business – from your products and processes to your transparency and values. Once we have reviewed your business externally, we’ll also ask you to fill out a questionnaire with any other relevant information we might need.

Don’t worry, the Ethical State team are here to help. Simply contact info@ethicalstate.com with your name, company name, email and we will unlock your account.

We create bespoke sustainable products, can we sell on Ethical State?

Absolutely! Simply email hello@ethicalstate.com and we will help set-up your personal store.
